Flat Panel Display — what the type means for panel cut-out
The GT14 is a Flat Panel Display type, meaning the operator interface mounts flush into a panel cut-out — no separate enclosure needed for the display module itself. Its Graphic screen with QVGA resolution gives enough pixel density for numeric entry, status icons, and simple machine graphics — adequate for basic operator data entry and alarm display without the cost of a VGA or higher-resolution panel.
I/O ports — Ethernet plus serial for fieldbus connectivity
The GT14 carries Ethernet, RS232, RS422, and RS485 interfaces — covering the most common fieldbus connections for a Mitsubishi Electric PLC line. Ethernet on the terminal means direct connection to the plant network for data exchange, recipe uploads, and remote monitoring without a separate serial-to-Ethernet converter. The RS422/RS485 port supports multi-drop wiring for longer-distance serial links — useful when the HMI sits at a distance from the controller cabinet.
