HMI Integration Walkthrough
The Mitsubishi GT1455-QTBDE is a 5.7-inch QVGA (320×240 dot) touch screen HMI from the GOT1000 GT14 series, displaying 65536 colors. It is powered by a Type GT 11 - 50 BAT lithium battery with an expected replacement interval of about 5 years at 25 °C ambient. The unit draws 8.40 W (350 mA at 24 VDC) with an inrush current of 30 A or less for 2 ms at 26.4 VDC. Communication interfaces include one RS-232 D-sub 9-pin male for device connection and PC project upload/download/OS installation/FA transparent function; one Ethernet port (100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, shielded cable only) for device communication, gateway, and PC connection; one USB host (Type-A, Full Speed 12 Mbps) for mouse/keyboard and USB memory; one USB device (Mini-B, Full Speed 12 Mbps) for PC connection; and one SD memory card slot (SDHC/SD compatible) for project data, OS installation, and logging data saving.
The HMI is designed for standard panel mounting with a self-cooling method. It requires Type D grounding (100 Ω or less); if grounding is impossible, connect to the board. The operating ambient temperature range is 0 to 50 °C, with a maximum elevation of 2000 m, pollution degree 2 or less, and an atmosphere free of oil smoke, corrosive gas, flammable gas, and conductive dust, and not exposed to direct sunlight. Impact resistance meets JIS B 3502 and IEC 61131-2 (147 m/s², 3 times in each X, Y, Z direction). Withstand voltage is AC 500 V for 1 minute between power supply terminals and earth ground.
