Display and touch interface
The GT1565-VTBD is an 8.4-inch TFT color LCD HMI from the GOT1000 Series, with a 640x480 dot resolution and a high-intensity, wide-angle viewing display. It supports 256 or 65536 colors, so the screen readability holds up from the panel door angle on the factory floor. The touch interface is a matrix structure of 30 lines by 40 columns, allowing up to 1,200 touch objects per screen. This gives you granular touch zones for dense operator screens without needing multiple pages.
Memory, backlight, and power supply
Project data and the OS reside on 9 MB of built-in flash memory (C drive). That's enough for a typical line HMI application with multiple screens, alarms, and recipe data — but if you're pushing complex animations or large bitmap libraries, budget the project size before committing. The backlight is a cold cathode fluorescent tube (CCFL), replaceable in the field, with a shutoff detection function and adjustable screen-saver timing. Power consumption is 26W or less, and the input supply is DC 19.2 to 30.0V — so it runs cleanly off a standard 24 VDC panel supply with headroom for brownout tolerance. An optional GT15-BAT lithium battery backs up the real-time clock and SRAM data. If your application logs time-stamped events or holds counters across power cycles, factor the battery into the BOM.
Panel cut-out and physical fit
The display area itself is 171 mm by 128 mm. The bezel overhangs the cut-out by about 7 mm per side, so adjacent components need clearance for the gasket seal.
