Panel-fit and installation notes
The GT2710-VTWD is a 10.4-inch TFT color VGA HMI from the Mitsubishi GOT2000 series, running at 640×480 dots. The white frame (designated 'W') is a cosmetic identifier; the cutout and mounting pattern are consistent across frame colors for this screen size. External dimensions are 30.3 cm wide × 21.8 cm high × 5.2 cm deep, and the unit is designed for inside-control-panel mounting. The spec sheet lists a permissible instantaneous failure time of 10 ms — the power supply must ride through shorter dips or the HMI resets. Terminal block torque is 0.5–0.8 N·m for M3 clamp screws; applicable wire size is 0.75 to 2 mm². The clamp terminal accepts RAV1.25-3, V2-S3.3, V2-N3A, and FV2-N3A lugs.
Power supply and environment
Rated input is 24 VDC with a tolerance of +25%/–20%. Inrush current is 5 A or less for 20 ms at 25°C under maximum load. Typical standalone draw is 15 W; with backlight off it drops to 8 W; maximum load is 42 W — size the 24 VDC supply for at least the inrush transient plus steady-state load of downstream devices. Operating ambient temperature is 0–55°C horizontally mounted, derated to 0–50°C vertically. Storage range is –20°C to 60°C. Humidity tolerance is 10–90% RH without condensation. Altitude is limited to 2000 m (6562 ft) — above that, derating may be required though not explicitly stated. Rated for Pollution Degree 2, Overvoltage Category II, meaning this HMI is intended for a clean, dry, indoor electrical environment inside a control panel — not outdoors, not near the line side. The noise resistance figure (500 Vp-p, 1 µs width) gives a baseline for conducted immunity; the installation location must avoid greasy fumes, corrosive gas, and conductive dust. Withstand voltage is 350 VAC for 1 minute between power terminal and ground; insulation resistance is 10 MΩ or higher at 500 VDC — both figures are bench-test limits, not normal operating conditions, but they set a floor for isolation quality.
Comparison to the GT2507-WTBD
The GT2507-WTBD also uses 24 VDC, but its power draw is lower (not specified here). If you have an existing cutout for the smaller model, the GT2710-VTWD will not fit without sheet-metal modification.
