Servo motor for a 200V-class axis
The Mitsubishi HG-KR13 is a MELSERVO-J4 series rotary servo motor rated for 200V-class supplies, delivering 0.32 N·m continuous torque at 3000 rpm and peaking at 1.1 N·m maximum torque. It draws 0.8 A rated current, 2.5 A maximum. The IP65 enclosure (all enclosed self-cooled) means the motor body withstands washdown and dust ingress on a packaging or machine-tool line — no additional guarding needed for the motor itself.
Encoder and feedback
Feedback comes from a 22-bit absolute-position incremental-shared encoder, resolution 4194304 pulses per revolution. That resolution supports precise positioning without a home-search cycle on power-up — the absolute position is retained. The encoder is shared between absolute and incremental modes; wiring depends on the servo amplifier interface selected.
Load inertia and dynamics
Rotor inertia is 0.0777 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², with a recommended load-to-rotor inertia ratio of 17 times or less. That ratio keeps the servo loop stable without excessive tuning. Power rate at continuous torque is 13 kW/s, which gives a sense of acceleration capability for sizing the amplifier's regenerative resistor.
