The HG-KR13B is a 100 W rotary servo motor from Mitsubishi's MELSERVO-J4 series, built for 200 V class supplies. Its 0.8 A rated current and 0.32 N·m rated torque suit light-duty positioning axes — think pick-and-place, small conveyors, or tool changers. The 22-bit absolute encoder (4194304 pulses/rev) gives you position hold through power cycles without a home search, which saves a cycle on every startup. IP65 all-enclosed self-cooled construction means the motor body handles washdown and dust ingress — fine for food packaging or machining coolant splash, as long as the shaft extension isn't directly hosed. The 22-bit encoder is compatible with both interfaces; no separate battery unit needed for absolute position retention if the amplifier supplies backup power. Rated speed 3000 rpm, max 6000 rpm — the 6900 rpm instantaneous limit is the hard stop for overspeed faults. Recommended load inertia ratio is 17 times or less; moment of inertia is 0.0837 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m². Keep the reflected load inertia within that ratio to avoid tuning headaches and resonance. The regenerative braking frequency of 1350 times/min applies when paired with MR-J4W_ series amplifiers — relevant for high-cycle indexing.
