Shaft, encoder, and protection
The HG-KR23K: Shaft comes with a keyway — standard for positive torque transmission on belt or coupling drives. The encoder is dual-mode absolute/incremental with 4194304 p/rev resolution, giving fine position feedback for closed-loop control without a home cycle on power-up when used with an absolute-capable drive. IP65 rating means the motor body handles washdown and dust ingress; suitable for food processing or machining environments where coolant spray is present. No brake (Brake: NO) — the motor relies on the drive's holding brake or an external mechanical brake for vertical-axis hold. If your application needs a powered hold at standstill, factor in an external brake resistor or a brake-equipped variant.
