The HG-KR43 is a 0.4 kW rotary servo motor from Mitsubishi's MELSERVO-J4 series, delivering 1.3 N·m rated torque at 3000 r/min and a maximum torque of 4.5 N·m. Its 22-bit absolute/incremental shared encoder (4194304 pulses/rev) gives position feedback resolution suitable for precision indexing or contouring applications. The motor is rated IP65 (all-enclosed self-cooled), so it tolerates washdown and dust ingress in food, packaging, or machining environments — but the atmosphere must be free of corrosive gas, flammable gas, oil mist, and direct sunlight per the spec.
Electrical and mechanical ratings
Rated current is 2.6 A; maximum current reaches 9.1 A during acceleration or overload. The motor accepts a 200 V class supply and draws 0.9 kVA from the drive. Moment of inertia is 0.371 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², and the recommended load-to-motor inertia ratio is 25 times or less — exceeding that can cause tuning difficulty or instability in high-gain loops. Allowable radial load on the shaft is 245 N, thrust load 98 N, and the shaft end has a 30 mm allowable overhung load length.
Command interface options
The motor is compatible with multiple drive interface types: CC-Link IE Field Network, SSCNET/H (single- and multi-axis), and general-purpose analog/pulse interfaces. Specific drive model pairings are listed for each interface — for example, the MR-J4-40A-MR for general-purpose or MR-J4-40B-MR for SSCNET/H. The 2-axis integrated interface uses MR-J4W2-44B-MR, MR-J4W2-77B, or MR-J4W2-1010B; the 3-axis uses MR-J4W3-444B.
