The Mitsubishi HG-KR43B is a 0.4 kW rotary servo motor from the MELSERVO-J4 series, rated for 1.3 N·m continuous torque and a maximum of 4.5 N·m. It spins at 3000 r/min rated, with a top speed of 6000 r/min and an instantaneous allowable speed of 6900 r/min. The 22-bit absolute encoder (4194304 pulses/rev) gives you position hold on power loss — no homing routine after a cycle stop. Rated current draws 2.6 A, peaking at 9.1 A under load. The IP65 enclosure (all enclosed self-cooled) keeps out washdown spray, so it fits right on a food-grade conveyor or a packaging machine with periodic hose-down.
Mechanical fit and load limits
Shaft loading: 245 N radial, 98 N thrust. Keep the load inertia ratio at or below 25 times the motor inertia (0.393×10⁻⁴ kg·m²) — exceed that and the auto-tuning struggles to settle. Ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 °C operating, with 80% RH non-condensing. Elevation limit is 2000 m above sea level; no derating needed below that. Vibration resistance is 49 m/s² on both X and Y axes, and the vibration class is V10. The motor ships without an oil seal as standard — if your application sees oil mist or splash, order the HG-KR_J variant with the seal fitted.
