What this motor is and what it delivers
The Mitsubishi HG-SN302J-S100 is a 3.0 kW servo motor from the HG-SN series, fitted with an oil seal and rated for 14.3 N·m continuous torque at 2000 r/min. Its totally enclosed, natural-cooled IP67 enclosure means it can be specified directly into washdown or high-particulate areas without an additional cover—a trait that simpler IP20 motors lack. Rated current is 11 A, with a maximum momentary current of 33 A for acceleration and deceleration. The maximum speed reaches 2500 r/min, and instantaneous permissible speed is 2875 r/min. If your application rides the V10 vibration class (rank V10), the motor will stay within that envelope under load. The recommended load-to-motor inertia ratio is 15 times or less. That is the design boundary your motion team must respect for stable tuning—exceeding it risks resonance or extended settling time.
Environmental and installation constraints
The motor is intended for indoor use only, away from direct sunlight, corrosive gas, flammable gas, oil mist, and dust. Operating ambient temperature is 0 °C to 40 °C non-freezing, with storage from -15 °C to 70 °C. Altitude is limited to 2000 m or less above sea level—de-rate above that point. Vibration resistance is specified at 24.5 m/s² in the X axis and 49 m/s² in Y. The IP67 rating is confirmed for the naturally cooled, totally enclosed structure.
