Power supply and backplane capacity
The L63P-CM draws its logic power from a 24 VDC supply that can sag from 15.6 V to 31.2 V (-35% to +30%) without dropping the CPU — useful when the panel shares a marginal DC bus with contactors or solenoid valves. Inrush hits 100 A within the first millisecond on power-up, so the 24 VDC supply needs enough headroom to avoid a crowbar trip; a supply rated for at least 1.5× the steady-state 45 W load covers the startup transient. The 5 VDC rail delivers up to 5 A for expansion modules or backplane loads — budget this against the total current draw of any I/O or special-function modules in the rack.
