Servo amplifier and motor matched pair
The Mitsubishi MR-J4-10A+HG-KR13J is a factory-matched servo amplifier and AC servo motor pair combining the MR-J4-_A amplifier with the HG-KR13J low-inertia motor. Rated output is 0.1 kW at 3000 r/min, with a rated current of 1.1 A and maximum torque of 1.1 N·m. The amplifier uses sine-wave PWM current control, giving smooth torque delivery across the speed range. The motor includes an oil seal (J designation) for applications where lubricant ingress is a concern.
The 0.1 kW rated output and 1.1 N·m maximum torque suit this pair for light-duty positioning axes — pick-and-place, small conveyors, or index tables where the load inertia is low. The 3000 r/min rated speed is typical for small servo motors; the low-inertia rotor (HG-KR series) accelerates and decelerates quickly, which helps close the cycle budget on short-move applications. The 1.1 A rated current and 2.5 A maximum current give the sizing engineer the peak-to-continuous ratio needed for acceleration transients without oversizing the amplifier.
Panel and machine integration
The MR-J4-10A amplifier mounts on a DIN rail inside the control cabinet. The HG-KR13J motor connects via a shielded encoder and power cable back to the amplifier; the oil seal (J) means the motor can be mounted in gearbox or coupling environments where oil mist is present. The sine-wave PWM control reduces audible noise and torque ripple at low speeds — useful for applications where the motor runs through a range of speeds rather than just point-to-point.
