The Mitsubishi MR-J4-700A is a 200 V class servo amplifier from the MR-J4 A series, rated for 37.0 A continuous current and 7 kW motor output. It drives three-phase AC servo motors at a rated output voltage of three-phase AC 170 V, fed from a three-phase AC 200 V to 240 V, 50/60 Hz main circuit supply. The STO (Safe Torque Off) function per IEC/EN 61800-5-2 is built in, so you can remove drive torque without disconnecting the main power — useful for emergency-stop circuits or maintenance access where you need to keep the control logic alive. The command interface is a general-purpose interface, meaning it accepts standard analog or pulse-train position/speed/torque commands from a motion controller or PLC. No fieldbus module is integrated on this base variant — you add an option card if you need PROFINET, CC-Link, or similar.
Mount the amplifier indoors, out of direct sunlight, in an atmosphere free of corrosive gas, flammable gas, oil mist, and excessive dust. Operating ambient temperature is 0 °C to 55 °C, non-freezing; storage range is -20 °C to 65 °C. Ambient humidity must stay at or below 90% RH, non-condensing. The unit is rated for installation up to 2000 m above sea level without derating. Above that, expect reduced dielectric strength and cooling — check the derating curve in the manual. Vibration resistance is 5.9 m/s² over 10 Hz to 55 Hz in each of X, Y, Z directions — typical for panel-mount servo drives, but if your machine sees sustained shock above that, consider vibration-dampening mounts.
