The Mitsubishi MR-JE-70B is a servo amplifier in the MELSERVO-JE family, designed to drive a compatible servo motor with sine-wave PWM current control. It takes a 3-phase or single-phase 200 V AC main supply (permissible range 170–264 V AC, ±5% frequency) and outputs 3-phase 170 V AC at up to 5.8 A peak, with a continuous rated current of 3.8 A. The 24 V DC ±10% control interface supply draws 0.3 A. A built-in dynamic brake means no external braking resistor module is needed for stopping the motor in normal or emergency conditions — the amplifier absorbs the regenerative energy internally. This simplifies panel wiring and saves DIN-rail space for smaller axes. Communication is over SSCNET III/H at a cycle of 0.444 ms or 0.888 ms, selectable, giving tight synchronization for multi-axis coordinated motion. The IP20 forced-cooled enclosure requires clearance around the heatsink for airflow — do not mount directly against a panel wall without the specified gap.
Power supply and wiring notes
The MR-JE-70B accepts both 3-phase and single-phase 200 V AC input, making it usable on a standard 200 V three-phase line or a single-phase line via L1 and L3 terminals (derating applies on single-phase — the 3.8 A input rating is for 3-phase). Close mounting of multiple amplifiers on a 3-phase supply is possible; single-phase close mounting is not supported. The 24 V DC control supply must be within ±10% and can sink up to 0.3 A. This supply powers the control logic, encoder interface, and SSCNET III/H communication.
