The Q02UCPU is the CPU module for Mitsubishi's Q Series rack, handling up to 2048 inputs and 8192 outputs over Ethernet. Program capacity is 80 kB, with 32 MB of memory for program and data storage. Programming is via Mini USB, and it mounts in a standard Q Series rack.
What the specs mean for a critical facility
The 2048/8192 I/O count lets this CPU command a large distributed I/O network without an additional bus controller — fewer failure points in the chain. The 32 MB memory stores both the application code and the device database; that's adequate for most process control loops but watch your data log size if you're trending every tag at 1 ms. Ethernet networking is standard; no removable comms card needed. That's one less slot, one less failure path.
