The Q63B is an expansion base unit from the Mitsubishi Q Series, designed to mount a power supply module and provide five expansion slots for I/O or function modules. It extends a Q Series CPU rack when additional slots are needed for a larger system layout.
Slot count and power supply mounting
Five expansion slots accept Q Series modules — digital or analog I/O, positioning, network, or temperature control. The dedicated power supply slot means the base unit gets its own power module; you do not draw backplane current from the CPU rack. This keeps the main rack's power budget clean and avoids voltage drop across long base extensions.
