Dual RS-232 ports on a Q-series backplane
The QJ71C24N-R2 is a Mitsubishi Electric interface module that bolts into the Q-series PLC rack, giving you two independent RS-232 communication channels through D-sub 9-pin male connectors. Each port uses screw-type termination for the serial cable, so you're not hunting for a special crimp tool at 2 AM on a line restart.
Mature lifecycle — stable sourcing
The module is sourced to order against an RFQ through independent distribution.
What two RS-232 channels get you in the field
Two channels means you can talk to a barcode scanner on one port and a label printer on the other without adding a second module — or daisy-chain a pair of serial devices on a single rack slot. The D-sub 9-pin interface is RS-232 compliant, so it mates with standard serial cables you probably already have in the panel spares bin. The screw-type connector on the male D-sub means field wiring is straightforward: strip, terminate, tighten. No proprietary connector to back-order when someone loses the mating half.
