What it is and what it does
The Omron 61F-GNL AC110/220 2KM is a High/Low Level liquid level controller from the 61F series. It uses the conductivity of the liquid between two or three probe electrodes to detect high and low levels, then switches its internal SPDT (2 Form C) relay to control a fill or drain pump, alarm, or solenoid valve. The sensitivity is adjustable from 0 to 1.8 kOhm, which lets you tune it for different liquid conductivities — tap water, wastewater, or mildly conductive process fluids. Rated for a control-to-sensor distance up to 2 km, this unit suits applications where the tank or sump is far from the control panel — a remote reservoir, a lift station, or a bulk storage tank at the far end of a plant. The 110/220 VAC supply input (dual voltage, no jumper change needed for most common line voltages) means a single part number covers both 110 V and 220 V installations.
Ratings and what they mean for fit
The SPDT relay contacts are rated 3 A at 200 VAC. That is enough to directly switch a small contactor coil, a pilot light, or an alarm horn. For a pump motor over 1/4 HP, interpose a contactor. The relay is the control element, not a motor starter. Operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor panel environments and unheated shelters. If the panel sits in direct sun or near a steam line, keep ambient below 55°C. The screw terminals accept standard stranded or solid wire — no special tooling needed for panel wiring. DIN rail mounting means it snaps onto standard 35 mm top-hat rail. The form factor is compact; it leaves room alongside a PLC or terminal blocks in a crowded enclosure.
