What it is and what it does
The Omron 61F-GP-N8 AC110 is a conductive-type level controller for high/low detection in tanks, sumps, and reservoirs. It switches a SPDT relay (2 Form C, rated 3A @ 250VAC) when the liquid level makes or breaks contact with the sense electrode. Supply voltage is 110VAC, and the sensitivity adjustment covers 0 to 4 kOhm — wide enough to handle most tap water, wastewater, and light chemical solutions. The 1 km maximum distance between controller and sensor electrodes means the controller can sit in a central panel while the probes are out at the tank. Termination is via an 8-pin octal plug that mates with a standard socket (sold separately). The operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor and sheltered outdoor installations.
Deployment context
Socketable mounting means the controller plugs into a panel-mounted octal socket — common in control cabinets for water treatment, HVAC, and process skids. No DIN rail required, but the socket itself can be DIN-rail or panel mounted depending on the model chosen. The relay output drives a pump contactor, alarm, or valve directly at 3A — sized for pilot duty rather than motor starting. For larger loads, interpose a contactor.
