What this level controller does on the line
The Omron 61F-GP-NT AC110 is a conductive-type level controller rated for High/Low Level detection — meaning it maintains a fill level between two probe points, not just a single alarm threshold. It runs on 110VAC supply and switches an SPDT relay (2 Form C) rated 3A at 250VAC, so it can directly pilot a contactor coil or a small pump motor without an interposing relay. Sensitivity spans 0 ~ 4kOhm, which covers most conductive liquids from demineralized water (high resistance) to process slurries (low resistance). The control-to-sensor distance maxes at 600m — enough to place the controller in a dry MCC room while the probes sit in a remote tank or sump.
Mounting and wiring reality
Socketable with an 8-pin octal base — mates to a standard DIN-rail or panel-mount socket (Omron PF083A or equivalent). The plug-in termination means a swap takes seconds if the relay fails or you need to bench-test the controller; no rewiring of the tank probes or power feed. Spring-cage or screw terminals on the socket accept 0.5–2.5 mm² conductors. Operating temperature range -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor panel environments but watch the lower limit if the enclosure sits in an unheated pump house in a northern winter — the controller itself is fine, but the liquid in the sensor line may freeze before the electronics complain.
