The Omron CJ1W-DRM21 is a DeviceNet communications module that slots into a CJ Series PLC rack, letting the CPU talk to remote I/O blocks, VFDs, sensors, and actuators on a DeviceNet network.

The module snaps onto a DIN rail inside the control panel and connects to the CJ-series backplane via the rack's internal bus connector — no separate power supply wiring for the communications interface. Screw terminals on the front face accept the DeviceNet trunk cable (V+, CAN_H, CAN_L, V-, shield) and the network terminator resistor if the module is at an end node.
