The Omron CJ1W-OC211 is a 16-point relay output module for the CJ Series PLC platform. Each relay switches up to 2 A at 250 VAC or 24 VDC, terminated on a screw terminal block that mates directly to the CJ backplane. The 16 outputs are grouped as isolated commons; verify the common wiring against your load bank before committing the I/O map — a mis-wired common can backfeed an adjacent group.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 2 A per-point rating at 250 VAC covers most solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps in a control cabinet. At 24 VDC the same 2 A limit applies — enough for a bank of DC relays but not for a motor starter coil without an interposing relay. The relay outputs are electromechanical, so cycle life matters: expect roughly 500k operations at rated resistive load. For high-frequency switching or DC loads above 1 A, a solid-state output module would outlast this relay module.
Approvals and compliance
Carries CE, cULus, Lloyd's Register, and NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai) approvals. The cULus mark covers the module for installation in UL 508A industrial control panels. Lloyd and NK are marine classification society approvals — this module is accepted for shipboard automation panels where type-approval is required.
