32-point transistor output for CJ Series racks
The CJ1W-OD234 is a 32-point transistor output module that mounts in any I/O slot of an Omron CJ Series PLC backplane. Each of the 32 solid-state outputs switches 24 VDC loads — typical for solenoid valves, indicator lamps, and small contactors in a machine-control cabinet.
DIN-rail integration and approvals
The module clips onto a DIN rail inside the enclosure and connects to the backplane via a rectangular connector — no screw terminals on the module face, so the field wiring lands on a separate terminal block or pre-wired harness. The approvals list (CE, Lloyd, NK) covers marine and industrial installations; Lloyd and NK are the classification societies for shipboard equipment, so this unit is accepted in marine automation panels.
What the 32 solid-state outputs mean for your BOM
Solid-state outputs (transistor) switch faster and last longer than relay outputs in high-cycle applications — no mechanical contacts to weld or pit. The 32-point density packs a lot of I/O into a single slot, but the rectangular connector means the field wiring is not directly on the module; you need a mating connector or a pre-wired cable assembly to land the 32 signals. The module is rated for use with the CJ Series, which includes the CJ1, CJ2, and CJ1M CPU racks — the backplane connector is keyed the same across the family.
