Module fit and key specs
The Omron CJ1W-TC101 is a Temperature Control Module for the CJ Series programmable controllers. It provides 4 analog inputs for RTD sensors and 4 solid-state outputs, each with screw terminal connections. The RTD input feature means this module is intended for use with resistance temperature detectors such as Pt100, not thermocouples. The 4-input / 4-output channel count suits multi-zone temperature control applications where each loop requires a dedicated output.
How it compares to other CJ1W temperature modules
Compared to the CJ1W-TC104, the TC101 doubles the channel count: 4 analog inputs and 4 outputs versus 2 each on the TC104. If the application needs only two PID loops, the TC104 saves a slot, but the TC101 avoids leaving spare channels unused. Against the CJ1W-TC002, the key difference is sensor compatibility. The TC002 accepts thermocouple types B, J, K, L, R, S, T, while the TC101 is strictly RTD. Choose the TC101 when your field sensors are Pt100 or similar; the TC002 when thermocouples are installed.
