Program memory and I/O expansion ceiling
The CJ2H-CPU64 carries 160K Words of program memory — enough to hold a mid-sized machine sequence with multiple motion axes and recipe tables without an external memory card. Expandable to 40 modules across 3 racks, so the I/O count scales with the machine footprint without swapping the CPU. Battery backup retains the program and retained data during power loss, which means no forced re-download after a line outage.
Communications and panel integration
Built-in RS-232C and USB ports let you connect directly to a laptop for programming and monitoring without an extra interface module — useful during commissioning and fault diagnosis. The DIN-rail mount clips into the standard 35 mm rail, so it fits the same backplane as other Omron CJ-series modules. Operating range is 0°C to 55°C, which covers most ventilated electrical enclosures without forced cooling.
Approval package and active lifecycle
CE, cULus, Lloyd, and NK approvals mean the CPU is accepted in industrial machinery for North America, Europe, and marine applications — no separate certification project needed for those markets.
