CPU with built-in EtherNet/IP
The CJ2M-CPU31 is an Omron CJ2M family CPU equipped with a native EtherNet/IP port for controller-to-controller and HMI connectivity without an additional module. It holds 64K words of program memory and supports up to 40 I/O modules across three expansion racks. Battery backup retains the program and data through power loss. The CX-One software suite handles configuration, programming, and network setup. The unit mounts on a standard DIN rail and operates from 0°C to 55°C.
Integration notes
Rack expansion tops out at three racks — sufficient for a medium-scale machine with mixed discrete and analog I/O. The built-in Ethernet port defaults to tag-based communications; option card slots (left side) accept fieldbus modules if the existing network requires Profibus, DeviceNet, or additional serial interfaces. Approvals include CE, cULus, Lloyd's, and NK, covering most industrial and marine applications. Confirm specific certification requirements for your target environment before committing the BOM.
