Lifecycle & Sourcing Reality
The CP1E-N30DR-A is officially discontinued by Omron. No direct replacement is listed in the lifecycle data. Sourcing is limited to surplus or broker channels — submit an RFQ for current availability and lead time.
I/O & Power Configuration
This unit packs 18 digital inputs and 12 relay outputs — the relay outputs handle higher inrush currents than the transistor outputs on the CP1E-N30DT-A sibling, making it a better fit for driving contactors or small motors directly. Powered from 100~240VAC, so it can run straight off line voltage without a separate 24VDC supply — a wiring simplification compared to the CP1E-N30DR-D which requires 24VDC.
Expandability & Memory
Expandable to 40 modules across 3 racks — a step up from the non-expandable N20 models like the CP1E-N20DR-A. Memory is 8K words, enough for moderate machine sequences. Battery backup retains the program and data during power loss. Programming is via CX-One software over the built-in RS-232C port; option cards add fieldbus or additional serial interfaces.
Mounting & Approvals
Mounts on DIN rail or chassis. Weighs 1.3 lbs (589.7 g). Approved CE, cULus, Lloyd, NK — covers industrial and marine environments without extra certification steps.
