Compact machine control with room to grow
The Omron CP1E-NA20DT1-D is a micro PLC from the CP1E series, built for simple automation tasks where 20 built-in I/O is the starting point. Inputs are DC-only (24 VDC sink/source), and outputs are transistor sourcing — no relay, so inductive AC loads stay off this terminal. The unit runs on 24 VDC supply and comes with a real-time clock and optional battery (CP1W-BAT01) for time-stamped data logging. Communications are covered by USB and RS-232C ports, plus one option slot for a serial or fieldbus module. That covers direct PC connection or legacy serial device integration without add-on rack hardware.
I/O scalability and expansion
Though the base unit carries 20 I/O, the CP1E platform expands to a total of 140 I/O points using up to three expansion I/O modules and one option module. This gives room to add analog or temperature control boards as the machine specification matures — a clean path from a compact controller to a moderate-scale system without swapping the CPU.
