What this PLC delivers
The Omron CP1L-L20DR-A is a compact PLC with 12 digital inputs and 8 relay outputs, running on 100-240VAC and supporting 32K words of program memory. Battery backup holds the program and data during a power loss — no re-download needed after a line bounce. The backplane is expandable by one module if the I/O count falls short. Program it with CX-One software over USB; option cards add fieldbus if the machine needs it. Operating range is 0°C to 55°C, so it fits most control cabinets without a climate stack.
How it compares to the 24VDC sibling
The CP1L-L20DR-D is the same PLC except it runs on 24VDC instead of 100-240VAC and ships in bulk rather than a box. All other dimensions, mounting, I/O count, memory, and approvals are identical. If your panel is already wired for 24V, the D version saves a power-supply bill of material; if you need line-voltage convenience, the A version is the pick. Both fit the same chassis footprint and DIN-rail pattern, so a swap is a half-hour job.
