How it compares to the CPM1A-10CDR-A
If you're cross-shopping the older CPM1A-10CDR-A, the CP1W20EDT1.2 gives you 12 inputs (vs 6) and 8 transistor outputs (vs 4 relay outputs). Transistor outputs switch faster and have no mechanical wear, but relay handles higher currents and provides isolation. The CP1W form factor uses a different bus connector and power supply — won't drop into a panel wired for a CPM1A without rewiring the base unit.
