The Omron CP2E-N14DT-D is an I/O module for CP2E PLCs, packing 8 digital inputs and 6 solid state outputs on 24VDC power. Screw terminals and a DIN-rail clip mean it lands in the cabinet same as any CP2E slice. Wide -20°C to 60°C operating range, so no derating worries in standard panel environments. Solid state outputs are the key here — no mechanical contacts means they handle high-frequency switching without wear, ideal for fast solenoid banks or LED indicators where relay bounce would show. The CP2E-N14DR-D shares the same 8-input count, same 24VDC supply, same screw-terminal DIN layout, but swaps the 6 solid state outputs for 6 relay outputs. Same footprint, same power demand, same panel wiring — only the output technology differs. If the BOM calls for solid state (high cycle life, silent switching, no contact replacement), the -DT-D is the pick. If you need relay outputs (higher inrush, true isolation, simpler replacement), the -DR-D is the counterpart. Cable the same either way.
