I/O count and channel mix for a CP2E rack
The CP2E-N40DT1-D is a 40-point I/O module for the Omron CP2E series, packing 24 digital inputs and 16 solid-state outputs into a single DIN-rail unit. The 24 inputs handle discrete field signals — limit switches, proximity sensors, pushbuttons — while the 16 solid-state outputs drive loads like contactors, indicators, and small valves without the mechanical wear of a relay bank.
Supply rail and termination
Runs on a 24 VDC supply rail — standard for control panels — and terminates via screw terminals, so no special tooling is needed for field wiring. The DIN-rail mount clips onto the standard top-hat rail inside the enclosure, matching the footprint of other CP2E slices.
