If your application needs a battery-backed RTC for time-stamping or data logging, the CP2E-N60DT1-D won't hold that data through a power-off without reinitialization. Neither unit is a drop-in for the other: output type and I/O count differ, and the transistor sink outputs require a regulated 24 VDC load supply, unlike relay outputs that handle AC or DC directly.
