What it is and what it does
The Omron CP2E-S30DT1-D is an active I/O module in the CP2E series with 18 digital inputs and 12 solid state outputs at 24VDC. It mounts on DIN rail and terminates via screw terminals.
How it compares to the relay-output sibling
If you need relay outputs or 100-240VAC power, the CP2E-S30DR-A is the alternative. It swaps the transistor outputs for 12 relay outputs and takes line voltage, but keeps the same 18 digital inputs and DIN rail mounting. For a 24VDC control scheme with solid state switching, stick with the CP2E-S30DT1-D.
