Panel-fit note for the CRT1-ID08SL
The CRT1-ID08SL is an 8-channel digital input module from the Omron CRT1 series, terminated with spring-clamp terminals and designed to snap onto a DIN rail. It accepts 8 discrete 24 VDC field signals and presents them to the backplane — no screwdriver needed for wiring, which cuts termination time on a multi-module panel.
PLC compatibility and approvals
This module is listed for use with Omron CJ, CS, and NJ series PLCs — the backplane connector keys into the rack slot and the module auto-negotiates the I/O bus cycle. For a CJ1 or NJ rack, the 8 inputs map directly into the I/O memory table without additional configuration beyond the slot assignment. Carries CE, NK (marine), and UL approvals — the NK classification makes it a candidate for shipboard control consoles where classification society traceability is required. The UL listing covers the module as a component for industrial control equipment per UL 508.
If a second-source is needed for a design, the CP1W-32ET is an output module from a different series and not a functional substitute for an 8-input block.
