The Omron CRT1-ID16SH-1 is a 16-channel digital input module from the CRT1 series, designed for DIN-rail mounting in control panels. It accepts 16 digital signals — limit switches, proximity sensors, pushbuttons — and presents them to the backplane via a rectangular connector and screw terminals. Rated for operation from -10°C to 55°C, it handles the ambient range inside a ventilated enclosure without derating. The CE and cULus marks cover installation in industrial control panels for North American and European markets.
Compatibility and integration
This module is listed for use with Omron CJ, CS, and NJ series PLCs — the backplane connector and bus protocol match those controller families. The 16 inputs are grouped as a single digital word, so the I/O map in the PLC configuration assigns them as one contiguous block. No external power supply is needed for the input circuit — the module draws its operating power from the backplane bus.
