The Omron CRT1-OD16-B is a 16 NPN transistor output terminal block adapter, designed to bring discrete outputs from a remote I/O rack to a fixed wiring point. Each channel sinks current to ground when the PLC logic turns it on — standard for Omron's NPN (negative-common) output architecture. The terminal block format eliminates the need for a separate breakout board; the field wiring lands directly on the adapter, saving a DIN-rail slot and reducing the point-to-point wiring count at the panel gland plate.
