Despite both being Omron I/O modules, the CRT1-VID08S-1 and CP1W-32ET are fundamentally different: the CP1W-32ET is an output module with 32 solid-state outputs, screw terminals, and part of the CP1W series for CP1 PLCs. The CRT1-VID08S-1 is an input module with 8 digital inputs, rectangular connector, and designed for CJ/CS/NJ series. They share no common PLC family or wiring footprint. Do not assume a drop-in swap.
