What it is
The CRT1-VOD08S is an 8-point solid-state output module from Omron's CRT1 series, designed for use with CJ, CS, and NJ PLCs. It mounts on a DIN rail and connects via a rectangular connector rather than screw terminals. Approvals: CE, cULus.
How it compares to the CP1W-32ET
The CP1W-32ET is a different animal: 32 outputs, screw terminals, for the CP1 series only. It won't physically mate with a CRT1 bus or fit the same backplane. If your BOM calls for CRT1-VOD08S, the CP1W won't drop in without re-wiring and a different rack.
Integration note
Solid-state outputs are no-contact, better for high-cycle applications like solenoid valves or indicator lamps. The rectangular connector is keyed; verify cable part number for your CJ/CS/NJ base unit. Operating range -10°C to 55°C — derate if clustered in a warm cabinet.
