What it is — and what it fits
The Omron CRT1-VOD08S-1 is an 8-point solid-state output module for the CRT1 I/O system, interfacing with CJ, CS, and NJ series PLCs. Its DIN-rail mounting and rectangular connector match the CompoBus/S flat-cable bus architecture common on those platforms.
Why this isn’t a drop-in for CP1W-32ET
The CP1W-32ET shares the Output Module type but runs on a different series (CP1W) with screw terminals and 32 solid-state outputs compared to the CRT1-VOD08S-1’s fourfold fewer channels and rectangular connector. Wiring and bus architecture differ, so swapping one for the other requires a complete I/O redesign, not just a module swap.
Mounting, wiring, and environmental limits
Mounts on standard DIN rail. The rectangular connector accepts the flat cable from the CompoBus/S master; termination is factory-molded—no screw-clamping. Operating range –10 °C to 55 °C keeps it inside most control cabinets without derating. Bulk packaging applies.
