Omron CS1D-CPU65H is the control logic CPU for the CS1D redundant PLC platform, with 128K words of program memory and expansion capacity of 68 modules across 7 racks. This memory headroom handles complex furnace thermal profiles — multiple ramp/soak segments and alarm thresholds — without segment truncation. Programming is via CX-Programmer through the RS-232C or USB port.
Backplane integration and expandability
Mounted on a CS1D backplane (not DIN rail), the CPU stays vibration-resistant and thermally coupled to the rack's cooling airflow. The 68-module limit means thermocouple input modules can sit physically near each furnace zone, reducing noise on millivolt signals.
