What this module does
The Omron CS1D-II102D is an interface module for the CS Series, handling dual I/O connections on a backplane. It mounts directly to the CS1D rack, not on DIN rail, so it's fixed in place behind the panel door. Sealed against the grit? Not IP-rated in the spec, but the backplane slot keeps the board inside the enclosure, which in a cement plant means at least one layer of dust separation from the kiln area.
