The D40MLP2BM12 is an RFID magnetic locking safety switch from the D40ML series, built with a solenoid lock and magnetic actuator. It gives you 2NC and 1NO contact configuration in a plastic housing rated IP67, terminated through an M12 connector. That IP67 means the body and the connector seal hold up under washdown — suitable for food-and-bev lines or anywhere you hose the machine down.
The 2NC / 1NO contact arrangement is what you need for a dual-channel safety circuit: the two normally-closed contacts wire into the safety relay or controller, and the normally-open gives a status signal back to the PLC. The solenoid lock holds the guard closed until the control system releases it — no opening the door while the machine is still coasting down. The M12 termination keeps wiring clean on a machine with pre-terminated cables; no panel entry needed.
