The Omron D4C0020 is a limit switch head from the D4C series, built as a roller lever plunger with side actuation. This is the head only — it mounts to the D4C switch body to form a sealed limit switch assembly. The stainless steel arm (2.32 in length, 1.15 in depth) resists corrosion on washdown lines or outdoor conveyor tracks, and the IP67 rating means the switch section and cable entrance stay sealed against dust and temporary water immersion — out here in the grease, that's what keeps a position sensor alive past the first hose-down.
The 5.69 N operating force and 25° pretravel (with 40° overtravel and 3° differential travel) define the mechanical snap action: the roller lever needs about half a kilogram of force to trip, and the 25° of free travel before the contacts switch gives you room to adjust the cam or dog position without losing the signal.
