The Omron D4GS-N2T is a slim-profile safety door switch with two normally-closed slow-action contacts built in. It's designed to signal guard-door position on machinery where space along the frame is tight — the slim body fits where a standard safety switch won't. The 2NC configuration gives you a redundant signal path for safety circuits up to PL d / SIL 2, with both channels breaking on door opening. Rated conventional free air thermal current (Ith) is 2.5 A per EN 60947-5-1, which covers the signal-level switching typical in safety relay or PLC inputs. Key insertion direction is vertical (T-type), so the actuator enters from above. Operating speed range is 0.1 to 0.5 m/s — slow door movement is fine, but a fast slam could exceed the rated speed and cause contact bounce. Maximum operating frequency is 30 operations per minute.
Cable and wiring
Comes with a 1 m cable attached. That's a fixed tail, not a connector — plan your routing so the cable reaches the nearest junction box or terminal strip without a splice. If you need a longer run, a terminal block extension is cleaner than cutting and rejoining the factory cable.
