The Omron D4GS-N3R is a slim-profile safety door switch with a built-in 2NC/1NO slow-action contact block, intended for interlocking guard doors on industrial machinery where panel space is tight. The 1 m cable is factory-attached, so the wiring decision is made at installation — no field termination inside the switch body, which keeps the enclosure seal intact.
The conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) is 2.5 A per EN 60947-5-1. The conditional short-circuit current is 100 A per the same standard. Operating speed is specified at 0.1 to 0.5 m/s — the actuator must move through the switch's operating head within that range for the contacts to transfer positively. Slower than 0.1 m/s risks partial engagement; faster than 0.5 m/s may cause contact bounce or mechanical overtravel. The maximum operating frequency of 30 operations per minute reflects the mechanical recovery time of the slow-action mechanism.
The R key insertion direction is horizontal. The 1 m cable is factory-attached.
