The Omron D4GS-N3T is a slim-profile safety door switch built for guarding access on industrial machinery — think hinged or sliding guards on packaging lines, robot cells, or conveyor transfer stations. Its 2NC/1NO contact block (slow-action) gives you two normally-closed channels for the safety circuit and one normally-open for status feedback, which is the standard wiring for a Category 3 or PL d safety function per EN ISO 13849-1. That 2.5 A figure governs the maximum current the contacts can carry continuously; for motor or solenoid loads you'd derate further based on the inrush. The key inserts vertically (T-direction), and the operating speed range is 0.1 to 0.5 m/s, with a maximum operating frequency of 30 operations per minute. The 1 m pre-wired cable is fixed — no connector option here, so plan your junction box location accordingly.
Integration notes
The slim body (about 30 mm wide) fits in tight door-frame extrusions where a standard 40 mm switch won't. Mounting is via two M4 screws through the switch body; the actuator is a separate part (sold separately) that aligns with the key slot. The vertical key insertion means the actuator must approach from above or below — not from the side — so check your door swing direction before drilling the mounting holes.
