Guard lock safety-door switch for machine guarding
The Omron D4NL-1AFG-B4 is a guard lock safety-door switch designed to interlock and lock access doors on machinery with hazardous motion. It combines a solenoid lock (24 VDC, mechanical release) with two independent contact blocks — each 1NC/1NO slow-action — giving you a dual-channel safety circuit plus a monitoring channel for the lock position. Rated IP67 per EN 60947-5-1, the body and head survive washdown environments common in food, packaging, and pulp & paper lines.
The solenoid lock pulls in on 24 VDC (G variant) and releases mechanically when the solenoid is de-energized — standard for guard locking that must fail locked on power loss. The orange LED indicator (B = 10 to 115 VAC/VDC) lights when the solenoid is energized, giving a quick visual on lock status without opening the panel. Pg13.5 conduit entry (code 1) accepts standard metric cable glands; the head mounts in four directions (F variant), with front-side mounting as-delivered, so you can orient the actuator entry to match the door swing.
