What the contact ratings actually mean for the circuit
AC-15 at 5 A / 120 V ac — that's the rating for switching electromagnetic loads (contactors, relays, solenoid valves) at line voltage. AC-15 is the standard utilisation category for control-circuit inductive loads per IEC 60947-5-1. The 5 A figure is the make-and-break capacity for that duty; don't derate it for resistive loads, but do respect it for the solenoid kickback in the same panel. DC-13 at 22 A / 125 V dc — this is the rating for switching DC solenoids and electromagnetic brakes. DC-13 covers inductive loads with a time constant up to 300 ms. The 22 A at 125 V dc is a healthy figure for a safety switch this size; it handles the inrush of a large DC brake coil without welding the contacts.
