Guard locking switch for machine safety circuits
The Omron D4SL-N3GFG-D is a guard locking switch with a solenoid lock and mechanical release, designed to interlock access doors on machinery where a 1300 N holding force is required to keep the guard closed until the machine is in a safe state. It operates on a 24 VDC solenoid and provides 5 contacts configured as 3 NC + 1 NC / 1 NO, giving you both redundant safety channels and a status feedback signal in a single housing. The orange LED indicator at 24 VDC gives a clear visual confirmation of solenoid state — lit when locked, dark when released — useful during commissioning and fault-finding without needing a multimeter on the terminals.
Connection is via a terminal block, so you terminate field wiring directly inside the switch body — no pre-wired pigtail to manage. The 1/2-14NPT conduit entry includes an M20-to-1/2-14NPT conversion adapter, covering both NPT and metric conduit standards out of the box.
